❓ Apple IRP FAQ
What is an Apple Independent Repair Provider?
An IRP is a repair business authorised by Apple to use genuine Apple parts, tools, and diagnostics for select out-of-warranty repairs. FixCraft is proud to be part of this program.
Will using FixCraft void my Apple warranty?
Not automatically. As an Apple Independent Repair Provider (IRP), we’re authorised to carry out repairs using genuine Apple parts. However, Apple does not extend its warranty to IRP repairs — only Apple or an Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) can do that.
More importantly: if your device has any physical or cosmetic damage — like a cracked screen, dented corners, or water exposure — your Apple warranty is already void. Apple’s warranty doesn’t cover accidental damage, regardless of where you go next.
So in most cases, you’re already out-of-warranty the moment it breaks — and that’s where we come in.
What voids my Apple warranty?
Any physical or liquid damage — like cracked screens, smashed backs, dented corners, or water exposure — will instantly void Apple’s warranty. This is true even before you visit FixCraft or any third party.
If your phone or Mac has been dropped or shows signs of impact, it’s almost certainly no longer covered by Apple — regardless of where you get it repaired.
Do you use genuine Apple parts?
Yes. As an IRP, FixCraft sources parts directly from Apple. These are the same parts used in official Apple and AASP repairs — no knock-offs, no clones.
Can I still go to Apple after an IRP repair?
Yes, but Apple may deny coverage for components that were replaced or affected by third-party repairs. Always check your warranty status first, especially if your device is still under Apple’s limited warranty.
Do I need an appointment?
Nope! You’re welcome to drop in or book a slot online. We’ll run diagnostics and let you know the best repair options — with full transparency and no pushy upselling.
